May 2008 Update
2008 has been a productive year up to this point and the website has seen several new addtions. In January I travelled to Ecuador to photograph birds in the Andean highlands before spending a few days in the lowlands of the Amazon basin. I felt fortunate to visit the Ecuadorian Amazon through the hospitality of the Napo Wildlife Center, a locally owned and operated ecocentre in a beautiful, protected section of forest. I encourage you to vist their website at http://www.napowildlifecenter.com/ онлайн вечеринки порно to find out more about the fantastic conservation project in an embattled section of the mighty Amazon. Photos of this part of the Amazon are found in the Amazon gallery along with Peruvian photos from the previous year.
The latest addition to the website is an article and gallery detailing events this April at Monterey Bay. I was privileged to witness a lengthy attack by 23 transient orcas on a mother grey whale and her calf as well as the extraordinary and unprecidented drama that followed when a group of humpback whales came to their defense. The article describes the events in some detail in addition to providing some background on predation by orcas on migrating grey whales. The photos detail some intense action and in some cases benefit from additional explanation. I highly suggest viewing them using the slideshow function and clicking on “show more info” which provides more description of each photo.
I will update the site again this July once I return from South Africa where I will again photograph white sharks as they return to Seal Island to hunt the newly weaned cape fur seal pups. Until then…
